Disclosure status of "KAGUYA" observation data
Japanese lunar explorer "KAGUYA (SELENE)" which carried 15 observational instruments and cameras on board observed the various aspects of the Moon and commenced investigation on the Moon from the orbit for one and a half years. The data obtained by "KAGUYA" are disclosed to the public on JAXA website below.

The purpose of "SELENE Data Archive" is to open the data collected by "KAGUYA" to researchers all over the world for lunar research utilization. Many people including general science fans and school teachers (As of 2011 August, about 600 people in Japan and 750 people in foreign countries) use the data. Date analysis is still being underway and we will keep on providing new analysis data to the world.

"KAGUYA 3D GIS (KAGUYA 3D Moon NAVI)" is the application (for you) to understand what is the Moon like observed by "KAGUYA". By mousing the Moon image, you can easily enjoy the Moon observed by the various instruments on "KAGUYA". As well as the "Data Archive" the above, we will provide more contents so that you can enjoy the Moon furthermore.
